Is it okay to bring a jogging stroller?
For the safety of all participants we discourage strollers on the race course. If you must bring a stroller, please consider parking in the Pleasant Valley Neighborhood and walking to the start line. At the other parking areas, we will need to get people on and off of buses quickly. There may not be room for strollers on the buses. Also, please remain at the back of the pack during the walk or run. Be careful not to run into other participants with your stroller.

Can I bring my pet to the Race? Leashed service animals are welcome. No pets are allowed on the course on Race day. Instead, please bring your dogs to our NEW!  Pooches in Pink the day before the Race.

What about radio headsets, roller blades, inline skates, bicycles? For the safety of all participants we discourage radio headsets, roller blades, inline skates, and bicycles on the race course.

Do I have to raise $125 in addition to my registration? Though online registration recommends raising $125 in donations, additional donations are not required. You can set your goal to any amount you want.

Does someone not walking or running have to register?
We encourage everyone coming to the event to register even if they do not plan to walk or run--including volunteers. You must register in order to be allowed on the Race course.

Can I come as a spectator?
We do not have a designated viewing area. While you are welcome to come and cheer on loved ones, we encourage everyone to register. For liability reasons, only registered participants are allowed on the course so viewing would be from the start or finish line only.

Is the Race uphill, rolling hills, or fairly flat?
The course is rolling hills. The first 1/8th mile is fairly flat, the next 3/4 mile is a steady incline. There is one other uphill section that is about 1/3rd mile and then the rest is mostly downhill.

What is the difference between the 5K Walk and the Family Walk? The family walk is less than 1 mile and quite level. If you look at the map , it will start at the same start line but you will make a U-turn where the 5K walkers turn right onto Juniper Way Loop.

Can I set up a booth to sell and raise money for Komen?
We do not allow anyone to sell at our Race even if all or part of the money were designated to come back to us. Booth space is available for certain levels of sponsorship only.
