Five Rivers Support Your Local Goddess program - the month of October
Five Rivers will make a $1 donation for every bottle of Five Rivers sold in Colorado during the month of October. Flyer attached.
Hi-Ho Silver for the Cure – November 6
A local Silpada Designs Representative will be hosting Hi-Ho Silver for the Cure on November 6 from 6PM to 10PM, at Old Chicago, 4110 N Academy. Join us for food, fun, prizes at an exclusive Silpada shopping event to benefit the Colorado Springs Affiliate of Susan G Komen for the Cure®. 15% of every purchase of Silpada silver jewelry will go to fund our local breast health programs. EVENT RESULTS
Pikes Perk Coffee and Tea House (Downtown)
Survivors were treated at the downtown Pikes Perk Coffee and Tea House with a buy-one-get-one-free drink of their choice on Oct 26th. In addition, all Komen supporters came in during the week of Oct 26 for good eats and drinks, with 10% of the sale of sandwiches helping to raise money for our Affiliate.
Fit for the Cure at the Citadel Dillard's
Thanks to all who came and participated in the Fit for a Cure sponsored by Wacoal, one of our national sponsors. Dillard's lingerie department did over $2000 in sales, with $2 for a fit and an additional $2 for a sale benefitting Susan G. Komen.
Survivor Luncheon and Fashion Show
The 2008 Survivor Luncheon was held October 25th at the Marriott Hotel. Survivors and their supporters enjoyed a great lunch, were treated to a Coldwater Creek fashion show, and laughed at the Cups presentation!
The Wonder Brew
25 cents for every pint of this microbrew sold during October and proceeds from the sale of Wonder Brew merchandise went to our Affiliate. The Rock Bottom Foundation has sent us a check for $1085.25 from this event. Thanks to all of you who had a pint of the Wonder Brew cream ale at Rock Bottom Brewery!
Cards for a Cure
The 2nd Annual Cards for a Cure held by Odyssey Elementary School on October 4 was a real success. Thank you to all who participated.
“Love Changes Everything”
Benefit concert - an evening of song, dance and joy. An evening of classic and contemporary musical theatre was enjoyed by all on September 29th.
Chipeta Time Travelers
Congratulations to the Chipeta Time Travelers for raising $182 for their team by selling lemonade!
Guns and Hoses Football
The police and firefighter football game was held July 19th at Cheyenne Mountain High School. Congratulations to everyone for raising over $2,000 for their team this year!
15 Shades of Pink
15 Shades of Pink benefit to celebrate, educate and remember in the name of breast cancer awareness brought Komen $5,000! Thank you to 15C Club Martini & Cigar Bar for this incredible success.
Massage for the Cure
The Massage for the Cure event, held on June 9th, was a success. Thank you to everyone who participated!
BMW Ultimate Drive®
The BMW Ultimate Drive which was held on Thursday May 8 at Phil Winslow BMW
was a huge success. Thanks to Phil Winslow's $1 match of BMW North America's $1 committment for every mile driven, we raised $20,000! Thank you to everyone who participated!
